Yacht Varnish 1k

This is a clear marine varnish, dedicated to wooden boats and yachts. This product is one of those particularly recommended to hobbyist boatbuilders and enthusiasts due to its exceptional ease of application and safety.

Single-component paints, or 1K paints, are products composed of one component. These products are used without a hardener. In simple terms, a single-component paint does not cure but dries. In the case of the Sea-Line single-component marine varnish, we use the dedicated 1K thinner. This allows the product to be used as a primer.

1 – component synthetic transparent clear coat.
Recommended above waterline, exterior and interior.
Recommended for wooden boats.
Excellent flow, UV-stability and high gloss.
Easy and universal in application process.
Diluted version of impregnated wood – protects the wood by forming a layer of primer.
Works as a high-gloss top coat without thinning.
Paint does not change the color of the wood after application.
Good flow gives a perfect finish.

Possible causes

Wrong viscosity and spraying technique,

How to prevent

Apply the right type of application method indicated by manufacturer,
Use working spray guns,
Both the object and material must have room temperature of 20ﹾC,
Apply correct proportion of base and hardener.

We do not recommend using universal thinners. The use of a thinner with an unknown composition may result in loss of adhesion, lack of proper flow of paint and varnish defects.

Sea-Line HARD and Sea-Line self-polishing antifouling are not intended for aluminum surfaces. They include copper oxide, which in contact with aluminum causes galvanic corrosion. Especially on aluminum, we offer ALU-PLUS self-polishing anti-fouling paint, which, in addition to excellent adhesion to aluminum, is also 30% more effective than traditional anti-fouling paints.
